While I have experience in all facets of the retail business, my specialty is STORE OPERATIONS. I spent 30 years of my life thinking, planning and strategizing about how to optimize the store experience. Whether it was my early years when my responsibility was for just ONE store; or as my span of control grew to 25…250… 1250 stores;  or when I was ultimately accountable for all 7000 stores; it was always all about THE STORE. I not only have an EXPERTISE in RETAIL STORES, but I have
a PASSION for it!

STORE OPERATIONS:  
                        
Analyze your store(s) from the ground up, at every angle and every level. Develop plans to decrease activities with little value and increase activities with large value. I will establish best-practices related to every aspect of your store operation. I will develop step-by-step processes for your store(s) to execute, and brand each with structure to gain the employees’ support. Lastly, I will build review systems for management to monitor the results, which create improved performance by all.

FIELD MANAGEMENT:  
                     
Scrutinize district and region operations from the middle to find the kinks in the system. What’s not making its way to the stores? Why isn’t it? I will sketch a plan with processes to drive it correctly. I can develop field tools to optimize productivity and align activities throughout the ranks. By building exceptional store visit methods, management reporting systems and communications procedures, you will drive improved productivity results for your company.

CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS: 
        
Examine the workload and the support systems coming from the top. I’ll take an unbiased and independent study of what the executive team and other central units of your company are communicating and directing the stores to achieve. Next, I will research and provide streamlined methods to improve store performance, which may involve revamping the workload coming from the top. With an improved ‘headquarters-to-store’ work structure, morale is often improved and retention rates rise.
